  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

Four cases of spontaneous rupttire of cerebral ventricle weer reported. Two cases were both in-flamatory Sylvian Aqueduct Block witk rupture of Septum Pellucidum. The other 2 cases were Craniopharyngioma with huge cyst, one of which extend to left cerebellopontine angle region. Concerning the rupture of Septum Pellucidumz we observed that the long dated rupture acco-mpanied a round edge, and the fresh rupture accompanied indentive edge, therefore few clini-cal meanings. Contrary to this phenomena, extra ventricular rupture, namely, rupture from ventricle to subarachnoid space are very im-portant in clinical aspect. In case 3 spontaneous rupture at basal wall of 3rd ventricle, in case 4 at dorsal wall were found. On account of these rupture cerebrospinal liquor were carried away from ventricle to subarachnoid space, and socalled intracranial hypertensive pressure syndrom were improved for a long time.

We cannot find these phenomena except ne-cropsy, therefor, we expect possibility for exi-stence of more cases of spontaneous rupture of cerebral ventricle.
