緒言

　過去15年間に脳腫瘍症状を呈して桂外科教室を訪れた症例中に11例の眼球突出症を経験したが，中9例は頭蓋内の腫瘍其の他の器質的変化によるものであつた。かかる事実は従来余り注目せられざる問題と思はれるので，茲に症例を紹介し，あわせて臨床的考察を試みた次第である。

Eleven cases of exophthalmus were experienced in the patients who revealed the symptoms of brain tumor and came to the Katsura Surgical clinic during past 15 years. Nine cases of them had showed an organic change. Such a fact, had not been directed so much attention previously, so we have reported these cases and given clinical considerations.

They were classified to three groups such as intraorbital disease (2 cases), posterior bulbar and osteotumor (7 cases), and hydrocephalus obliterans (2 cases). In the 2nd group belonged many masculine cases, 3 cases of whom were a malignant type of meningiom.
