 The Endocyto(CF-H290ECI, Olympus), which was introduced in February 2018, is a new-generation endoscope that allows in vivo evaluation of cellular atypia by examining the target area at 520× magnification. The staining characteristics of the glandular lumen and nuclei, as well as the nucleic-cytoplasmic ratio, can be evaluated by staining the lesion, allowing for real-time diagnosis. Narrowband imaging can be used to detect the endocytoscopic vascular patterns(EC V classification)in the colorectal lesions, and double staining(1.0% methylene blue and 0.05% crystal violet)can be used to evaluate the cell nuclei and glandular lumen(EC classification). The observation of the pit pattern is predicted to be an effective addition to the current pit pattern diagnosis. Furthermore, EndoBRAIN®, an artificial intelligence-based endocytic diagnostic support system, is expected to boost the diagnostic confidence.
