日本言語聴覚士協会の活動史

History of activities of the Japanese Association of Speech-Language-Hearing Therapists

　日本言語聴覚士協会の24年間の活動について紹介する．協会は，国民の健康及び福祉の向上，言語聴覚障害学と言語聴覚療法の普及・発展，言語聴覚士の職業倫理および社会的責務の遂行，言語聴覚士の知識・技術の向上，言語聴覚士の養成教育の充実，日本言語聴覚学会の開催，国内外の関連団体との連携・交流，会員の福利厚生に関する取り組みなどの多くの事業を行ってきた．今後も協会がさらに発展することを期待する．

　In this paper, the activities of the Japanese Association of Speech-Language-Hearing Therapists over the past 24 years are introduced. Specifically, the following activities are described：improving the health and welfare of the nation; promoting and developing the study of speech-language-hearing disorders and speech-language-hearing therapy; fulfilling the professional ethics and social responsibilities of speech-language-hearing therapists; improving the knowledge and skills of speech-language-hearing therapists; enhancing the training and education of speech-language-hearing therapists; hosting Annual Meetings of the Japanese Association of Speech-Language-Hearing Therapists; collaborating and exchanging with related organizations both in Japan and abroad; and working on the welfare of members. It is expected that the Association will continue to grow and develop in the future.
