日本でのサルコイドーシスの発症率は10万人対1.01であり，男性は0.73，女性は1.28と女性にやや多いとされている。年齢は，男性では20～34歳，女性では50～60代に多くみられる。

Isolated granulomatous lesions confined to the kidneys in sarcoidosis are extremely rare, with a few case reports available in the literature. In this case, multiple renal nodules with poor contrast enhancement were incidentally detected during follow-up CT scans. There were no obvious abnormal findings other than the kidneys. MRI scan was performed and differential diagnoses included IgG4-related disease, malignant lymphoma, and sarcoidosis, but diagnosis based on imaging findings was difficult. A renal biopsy revealed non-caseating granulomas, and after further investigation, the patient was diagnosed with sarcoidosis.
