VOXELANの基礎的特徴と臨床利用

Basic characteristics and clinical use of VOXELAN

放射線治療分野において，光学式デバイスを使用した患者セットアップ・治療中の監視技術である体表面画像誘導放射線治療（surface–guided radiotherapy：SGRT）が，非常に注目されている。SGRTに使用する機種は様々なものがあるが，特にAlignRT^®（VisionRT社）やCatalyst^TM（C–RAD社）といった海外ベンダーから販売されている装置が広く普及しており，海外においてはそれらの利用に特化したガイドライン^1）2）も整備され始めている。一方で，日本国内のみで販売されているSGRT装置もあり，当該装置の内容については海外のガイドラインにも含まれていないため，導入施設では試行錯誤しながらコミッショニングや臨床使用を行っている。本稿では，国内ベンダーによるSGRT装置である “VOXELAN” に関して，当院での導入・使用経験に基づいてその特徴について述べる。

Surface–guided radiotherapy（SGRT）, a technology for minimally invasive patient setup and monitoring during treatment using optical devices, has attracted considerable attention in the field of radiation therapy. This article describes the features of VOXELAN, the only SGRT device from a Japanese vendor, based on our experience with its introduction and use at our hospital. The accuracy of the device was verified through various assessments, including the development of an original phantom, and the results were acceptable for clinical use. Clinically, it is expected to have a wide range of applications, including deep inspiration breath hold（DIBH）for breast cancer. We hope that this article will be helpful to facilities considering the introduction of VOXELAN.
