I was asked to focus this presentation on why I have pursued a program of research exploring spirituality from a nursing perspective, giving emphasis to why it is important for nursing, and to answer why it is important to me personally. I pray that from this research I will share that we can draw information that will help the nurses of Japan to personally find comfort and to support the millions here who may continue to suffer inwardly, if not physically or temporally.
