18．病院管理者の役割—多職種連携を醸成するような文化を築く

Perspective from practice as a hospital director

昨今のパンデミックに象徴されるように，常に変化し続ける医療現場において各病院がそのミッションを遂行するためには，分化と統合をダイナミックに操る「統合装置」が必要である。その代表例が多職種連携であり，各病院ごと固有の文脈に沿った連携が大切となる。多職種連携は何かを達成するための手段としても重要であるが，多職種連携そのものが医療従事者の人生を豊かにする可能性がある。そのような連携を醸成する文化をつくることが，病院管理者の最も大切な役割でもある。

The healthcare environment is rapidly changing and hospitals must possess dynamic capabilities to accomplish their missions. Dynamic capabilities require integrative mechanisms such as interprofessional collaboration. Hospitals must adopt interprofessional collaboration suitable to their unique circumstances. While interprofessional collaboration is an excellent means to an end, it can also be an end unto itself because it can enrich the professional lives of healthcare workers. One of the most important roles of a hospital director is to create a culture that fosters meaningful interprofessional collaboration.
