I．はじめに
潜水や航空機塔乗など外界の圧変動により生じた顔面神経麻痺の報告はきわめてまれである。1967年Bennettら1）が航空機塔乗による2例を報告して以来いまだに詳細な報告は数例のみで，われわれの検索しえた限りでは本邦に報告例はない。最近われわれはすもぐりにより同側2同の顔面神経麻痺をきたした症例を経験したので，その概要を報告し若干の文献的考察を加えた。
A 36-year-old fisherman developed transient right facial paralysis after surfacing from 7-8m diving twice at interval of two years.
The cause of alternobaric facial paralysis was said to be the overpressure in the tympanic cavity arising from the dysfunction of the Eustacian tube. But the problem is not the pressure gradient between the cavity and the environment. If not so, there appears inconsistency about the cases of flight.
We emphasize the pressure gradient as the cause of alternobaric facial paralysis.
