悪性病変を疑わせた炎症性偽腫瘍の2症例

Two Cases of Inflammatory Pseudotumor

　I．はじめに

　炎症性偽腫瘍の多くは，眼窩を中心として発生するため，眼科領域で扱われることが多く，耳鼻科で扱う機会は稀である。最近，筆者らは，臨床症状，CT所見などより，副鼻腔の悪性腫瘍を疑い，頻回の病理組織学的検査を試みたが，いずれも非特異的慢性炎症の所見で，結局炎症性偽腫瘍と診断された2症例を経験したので，その概要を報告し，若干の文献的考察を加えた。

　Two cases of inflammatory pseudotumor resembling malignant tumor in the paranasal sinus are reported.

　A 62-year-old female with a mass in the left cheek, diplopia and left ptosis revealed a mass of soft tissue density extending from the pterygopalatine fossa to the left cheek in CT-scan. Pathological diagnosis was non-specific chronic inflammation. Clinical symptoms and laboratory data were improved with steroids.

　A 49-year-old female complained of visual disturbance and exophthalmos of the right eye presented a mass of soft tissue density extending from the right ethmoid sinus to the right orbit in CT-scan. Pathological diagnosis was non-specific chronic inflammation. Steroids were not effective in this case.
