I．はじめに

　腫瘍摘出により軟口蓋の全層が欠損すると術後，高度の構音障害および嚥下障害を遺す。悪性腫瘍摘出後の軟口蓋欠損を舌弁および咽頭弁の併用により再建し，良好な結果を得たので，その術式を中心に報告する。

　A reconstruction technique utilizing a lateral tongue flap and a pharyngeal flap after excision of carcinoma of the soft palate and tonsil is described. After the tumor was excised, the wound in the soft palate and tonsillar fossa was covered with a lateral tongue flap. Hypernasality and difficulty of swallowing were encountered postoperatively, but these were corrected by closing the remaining defect of the soft palate with a spreaded tongue flap and a pharyngeal flap. This technique is cosmetically more acceptable than external flap procedures.
