Ⅰ　はじめに

　平滑筋腫は平滑筋に由来する良性腫瘍で，頭頸部領域に発生することは比較的稀とされている^1）。今回われわれは軟口蓋から副咽頭間隙に拡がる血管平滑筋腫の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Vascular leiomyomas localized in the nasopharynx are rare,as benign smooth muscle neoplasms. To the best of our knowledge,only three cases were available in the literature in Japan. We reported a case of vascular leiomyoma extending from the soft palate to the parapharyngeal space. The day before the operation,we embolized a feeding artery of the tumor. We denied a possibility of malignanat tumor by needle biopsy,just before the operation. After that,the tumor was removed en bloc. Postoperatively,the patient had no trouble of speech and swallowing.
