　I．はじめに

　コラーゲンは生体に親和性をもつ医用人工材料として近年注目を集めているものである。我々はカップ状に成形したコラーゲン膜を鼓室形成術に用いて鼓膜再建操作の簡便性および確実性を期しているので報告する。

　Recently much attention has been given to collagen in its role as an artifical material in medical use because of its special affinity for the body. In this report we describe the use of collagen membrane in cup-shaped form in reconstructive surgery of the tympanic membrane. In this method, we made double grafting of collagen cup covered with fascia and introduced it into the middle ear, after the pathological tissues were removed from the tympanum. The advantage of this technique is that the implantation procedure is relatively easy to introduce it to attach to the auditory ossicles.
