突発性に高度聴力低下を来した高齢者2症例

Two Cases of Acute Sensorineural Hearing Loss in Old Men

　I．緒言

　従来，突発性難聴に関し，数多くの報告がされてきているが，未だその病態には不明な部分が多い。特に病因については，内耳血管障害，ウイルス感染，アレルギー，内リンパ水腫，前庭窓・蝸牛窓破裂，炎症などが考えられているが，この中でも血管障害とウイルス感染が特に有力である。

　最近，突発的に聴力障害を来した高齢者2症例を経験し，病因として第1例は中枢血管障害，第2例はウイルス感染がそれぞれ強く推定されるとの結果を得たので，ここに報告し，御批判を仰ぐ次第である。

　Acute sensorineural hearing loss in two old men was suspected due to thrombosis of the anterior inferior cerebellar artery and viral infection respectively as the result of thorough examinations. Fortunately impaired hearing of them was almost recovered.

　We emphasized that the possibility of acute sensorineural hearing loss in old men should be kept in mind and the diagnosis should be established as carefully as possible.
