　I．はじめに

　甲状舌管由来の良性嚢腫は頭頸部外科領域ではしばしば経験するが，甲状舌管遺残よりの癌の報告は少ない。この甲状舌管癌は，1915年Uchermann^1）により初めて報告されて以来，100例前後が報告され，我国ではただ9例の報告があるのみである。

　最近われわれは，その1例を経験したのでここに報告する。

　Carcinoma in thyroglossal duct tissue is rare, and a case of papillary adenocarcinoma in a thyroglossal duct cyst is presented. A 42-year-old female noticed a mass in her right neck 3 months after surgical operation of breast cancer. According to the result of open biopsy, excision of the mass, tnodiked neck dissection and hemithyroidectomy were carried out.

　Considering that there was a large mass and were 2 small masses in the thyroid acocording to pathological findings, it seemed that the original thyroglossal duct carcinoma spread to the thyroid. The tumor seemed to arise from the lateral branch remnant of the thyroglossal duct.
