Intra-arterial infusion of anticancer agents is one of the most useful therapies in head and neck cancers. Experience of a new drug infuser which is driven by respiratory movement of the abdomen was reported.

Movement of an elastic body belt around the abdomen drove a dram, shaft, then a piston in a box, and the drug was expelled from a bag by the piston into the artery via catheter.

The advantages of this apparatus were as follows; the box is small, light and possible to make continuous infusion, and it prevents rare backflow of blood and blockage of the tube and complications of continuous drug infusion.

However, the procedure took much time to control the infusing drug volume.
