上咽頭に発生した良性血管内皮腫の1例

Benign Hemangiocndothelioma of the Nasopharynx: Report of a Case

　I．はじめに

　血管内皮細胞に由来する血管内皮腫は，これまで多くの報告がなされているが，頭頸部領域ではまれとされており報告例は少ない。また成人に発生したものではほとんどが悪性である。一方，上咽頭に発生する良性腫瘍は若年性血管線維腫を除いては非常にまれである。今回我々は成年女性の上咽頭に発生した良性血管内皮腫を経験し，極めてまれであると考えられるので報告し，御参考に供したい。

　Hemangioendothelioma which is composed of vascular endothelial cells is rare in the head and neck region, and usually malignant in adults.

　We have recently experienced a benign hemangioendothelioma in the nasopharynx of an adult female. The patient was 52 years old, and had nasal obstruction and forein body sensation in the nasopharynx for about two months before admission. She was diagnosed as having a nasopharyngeal tumor. The growth was surgically removed and its pathohistologic findings showed benign hemangioendothelioma. No recurrence or metastasis has been found for three years post-operatively.

　There are five cases of nasopharyngeal hemangioendothelioma reported in the literature and only one report in Japan. However, no report of benign hemangioendothelioma in the adult nasopharynx has been found in the literature.
