　I．緒言

　口腔底嚢胞の中で最も代表的なものは，ガマ腫についで，皮様ないし類皮様嚢胞などである。最近8年間に東北大学病院耳鼻咽喉科で治療したこれら口腔底嚢胞の中で，特に巨大な皮様ないし類皮様嚢胞は3例である。いずれも開口時の視診で，二枚舌状を呈し，嚢下にも著明な腫脹を呈した症例である。これら3症例について文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Three cases of dermoid or epidermoid cysts of the floor of the mouth were reported, and the cysts were all extraordinarily large, and they gave double-tongue or a double-chin appearance to the patients' face.

　Three types have been advocated for the classification of dermoid or epidermoid cysts in the floor of the mouth: (1) lingual type, (2) sublingual type and (3) submental type. The first case of the present report was a dermoid cyst of submental type, the second one was an epidermoid cyst of sublingual type and the third one was a cyst of lingual type which was not determined as dermoid or epidermoid in nature.
