Congenital Dermoid Cyst of the Floor of the Mouth in an Infant―Report of a Case―

　類皮囊胞は胎生期に外胚葉成分の中胚葉への迷入または外傷，炎症，手術などにより深部に扁平上皮が迷入することにより形成されるとされている^1）。顎口腔領域の囊胞性疾患のうち，6～7％が類皮囊胞であり，平均年齢は28歳で，小児には稀である^2）。最近当科において新生児口腔底類皮囊胞の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。　類皮囊胞は胎生期に外胚葉成分の中胚葉への迷入または外傷，炎症，手術などにより深部に扁平上皮が迷入することにより形成されるとされている^1）。顎口腔領域の囊胞性疾患のうち，6～7％が類皮囊胞であり，平均年齢は28歳で，小児には稀である^2）。最近当科において新生児口腔底類皮囊胞の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Dermoid cyst of the floor of the mouth is relatively rare in infants. We report a case of 1-month-old baby whose mother noticed a swelling of the floor of the mouth and difficulty in drinking milk. Under general anesthesia,the tumor was removed surgically by an intraoral approach. The histological diagnosis was dermoid cyst. In an infant,it is important to remove any tumor in a timely manner.
