　I．はじめに

　副鼻腔における真菌症例は比較的稀ではあり，その報告は少ない。近年増加の傾向にあるといわれ，その原因は抗生物質，副腎皮質ホルモンなどの頻用であるといわれている^1〜4）。当教室においてもすでに頭蓋内真菌症例^5,6），上顎洞真菌症例^7）を報告している。今回筆者らは昨年経験した症例について，computed tomography（以下CTと略す）所見について2，3検討し，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告した。

　A 64-year-old female was suspected as having malignancy in the left maxillary sinus. A dirty black cheese-like lump was removed from the maxillary sinus, in which edematous thickened mucosa and mucopurulent discharge were found. Histopathological examinations revealed mycosis of the paranasal sinus. Retrospective study on the computed tomography (CT) of the sinus, with the comparative studies of CT between the presented case and other cases with sinus diseases, such as infection and cancer, showed that a relatively higher opacification of the sinus in the case of mycosis than ordinary sinusitis ; but lower density than that of cancer.
