頭頸部adenoid cystic carcinomaに対する化学療法の検討

Chemotherapy for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Head and Neck

　I．はじめに

　頭頸部管腔に発生する悪性腫瘍は扁平上皮癌が大部分を占めており，その治療法についても手術および放射線療法はもちろん，化学療法に関する報告も枚挙にいとまがないほどである^1）。しかしながら，adenoid cystic carcinoma（以下ACCと略す）に関しては発生頻度が低いこともあって，その治療法に関する報告は少なく，ことに化学療法に関するまとまった報告はほとんどみられない。今回筆者らは頭頸部ACC15例に対して化学療法を行い若干の知見を得たので報告する。

　Twenty eight cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma inthe head and neck region were treated with anticancer agents. The agents administered were as follows : chromomycin A₃, 5-fluorouracil, bleomycin, adriamycin, FT-207, pepleomycin, cisplatinum. Three cases in which chemotherapy was performedas an adjunct to surgery or radiotherapy were excluded from this study. Out of 25 cases, four had morethan 50% tumor regression and three had more than25% tumor regression. We concluded that adriamycinwas the most effective agent for adenoid cysticcarcinoma, especially when given by intra-arterialinjection. Pepleomycin, a new derivative of bleomycin, has also shown an antitumor effect.
