　Ⅰ．緒言

　ここ数年来，副鼻腔真菌感染症の報告例数が増加を来たしているようである。この要因として，抗生物質および副腎皮質ホルモンの使用，多用をあげているものが多いが，その要因の判明しないものもみられる。われわれは昨年来2症例の副鼻腔真菌感染症を経験したのでここに報告し，文献的考察を行なつてみた。

　Two cases of aspergillosis of the maxillary sinus are reported. Both patients were male; one at the age of 22 and the other of 37. The maxillary sinus involved in the former was on the right side and the latter on the left. X-ray study of the sinuses in both patients disclosed unilateral density of the maxillary sinus. Diagnostic lavage of the sinus established the diagnosis of aspergillus infection in both cases. The patients were successfully treated by Caldwell-Luc procedure. Postoperative examinations showed aspergilus in one patient but the type of fungus was not determined in the other.
