　I．はじめに

　頭頸部領域は，混合腫瘍をはじめ種々多彩な性質の腫瘍の好発部位の1つであり，その報告も数多くみられる。今回筆者らは，右側頭下窩に耳下腺とは関係のない良性間葉性混合腫瘍を経験した。組織学的には骨組織，軟骨組織，血管腫様組織，脂肪腫様組織，粘液腫様組織および結合織より成り，腺上皮等上皮性成分は全くみられず，benignmesenchymomaといわれるものであった。頭頸部領域では極めて稀な症例なので，その概要を報告する。

　A 5-year-old girl presented a benign mixed mesenchymal tumor in her right infratemporal fossa.

　When her decayed teeth was treated, she was noticed a swelling of her right cheek without subjective symptoms. A hard mass under the buccal mucous membrane in her oral cavity outside of the mandible was observed. Radiographic examinations revealed an ossified shadow as the size of walnut which located under the articular and muscular processes of the mandible. The massive tumor was removed and it was capsuled, and partially ossified, 22g of weight. Histologically the tumor was composed of bony tissues, cartilage, and angioma-like, lipoma-like, myxoma-like tissues and fibromatous connective tissue without any epitherial component.
