側頭下窩に発生した滑膜肉腫

Synovial Sarcoma of the Infratemporal Fossa:A Case Report

　はじめに

　滑膜肉腫（synovial sarcoma）は関節近傍に発生する肉腫で，比較的若い成人の四肢に好発する悪性腫瘍である^1）。整形外科領域の軟部悪性腫瘍では頻度の高い腫瘍であるが，耳鼻咽喉科・頭頸部領域における報告は少ない^1〜3）。今回われわれは側頭下窩に発生した滑膜肉腫の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 21-year-old female presented with a swelling of her face. Surgery was performed via right sub-mandibular incision. A tumor was found to locate between the temporomandibular joint and masseter muscle, and it was removed. Microscopically, the tumor was diagnosed as synovial sarcoma of bi-phasic type. After operation, a course of radiation and chemotherapy were given.

The patient was followed up carefully over the next 3 years, while a mass was noted in her right neck and subsequently removed. She has been alive without futher recurrence and metastasis.
