　I．はじめに

　histiocytosis Xは，比較的まれな疾患で，耳鼻咽喉科領域においては，側頭骨に好発し，難治性耳漏，外耳道肉芽腫，耳周囲腫脹などの耳症状を呈することがあるといわれている。最近，筆者らは，3症例のhistiocytosis Xを経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　Three cases of histiocytosis-X are reported. The first case is a 3-year-old boy who has swelling around the auricle. The second case is a 2-year-old girl with chronic aural discharge with a swelling at the postauricular region. The third case is a 2-year-old girl with swelling of the auricle, polydipsia and polyuria. By pathological examination and clinical findings, the first case was diagnosed as eosinophilic granuloma of the temporal bone, the second case initially seemed to be eosinophilic granuloma of the bone, but later changed to Hand-Schtiller-Christian disease. The third case was diagnosed as Hand-Schtiller-Christian disease. The history, otological findings, diagnosis and treatment of histiocytosis-X were discussed.

　Otolaryngologist should consider the possibility of histiocytosis-X in patients with persistant aural discharge, granuloma of the external auditory meatus and swelling around the auricle.
