　I．緒言

　特発性に耳下部に生じた血腫は非常にまれで，われわれが調べた範囲ではその報告がない。最近，特発性耳下部血腫に顔面神経麻痺を伴つた症例を経験したのでここに報告する。

　A case of hematoma of parotid area is reported.

　A 3-year-old child developed a swelling of the right parotid area and facial paralysis of the same side of his face. Blood was evacuated by needle aspiration from the swelling area, and facial paralysis disappeared immediately.

　Operation disclosed a hematoma in the outer surface of the parotid gland. The patient had no history of injury or previous operation around the parotid area. The cause of the hematoma was unknown.
