I．はじめに
乳頭腫は，耳鼻咽喉科領域においてしばしばみられる疾患である。しかし治療に抵抗したり，再発あるいは悪性化をきたすことのある反面，自然治癒する場合もあり，臨床的にも興味深い疾患である。最近われわれは腫瘍発生部位としては比較的まれな硬口蓋に発生した乳頭腫で，その治療後比較的短期間に癌として再発した症例を経験したので，その概要について報告する。
A case of a squamous cell carcinoma of thehard palate is reported. A man, aged 65, wasdiagnosed as a right-sided hard palate papilloma by histological examination. The papilloma measured 4×5 cm in its dimentions but disappeared with a combined therapy of bleomycin administration and irradiation of Co60.
But, 3 months later the lesion on the same location recurred. Histological findings showed malignancy with epithelial atypia, cell irrgularities and destruction of the basal membrane.
During the ensuing 4 months the tumor degenerated from the differentiated type to that of undifferentiated.
In spite of the administrations of the drug, irradiation and radical treatments, the patient died of lung metastasis.
