Ⅰ．緒言
唇口蓋裂は顔面奇形の中でもつとも頻度の高い奇形であるが，その中で正中唇裂症はきわめてまれである。われわれは無嗅脳症およびその不全型と思われる症例を各2例得たのでここに報告し，若干の考察を加え，ご参考に供したい。
Four cases of the median cleft of the upper lip are reported.
Cases, 1 and 2 were found to be hypotelorism, absence of prolabium, premaxilla and cartilagenous septum, belonging to the third type of Kunrast's classification of the archinencephaly. Autopsy findings in these cases revealed Casel's alobar holoproencephaly, absence of the olfactory bulb and tract, and interanal hydrocephaly.
Case 3 was found to be an incomplete archinencephaly, showing the scar of the lip plasty performed soon after birth. The columella and the lower septum were absent.
The case 4 was also an incomplete archinencephaly showing a mild median cleft of the upper lip with an absence of the premaxilla.
