I．はじめに
薬剤の包装には，いろいろのものが使われてきているが，最近，多く使用されてきているものにPTPといわれる包装がある。
われわれは，35歳の女性で無意識のうちに空になつたPTPを嚥下して，食道異物となり，縦隔洞炎を起こしかけた症例を経験したので報告し，併せて，以前，当院で経験した2例も含めて合計3例につき考按をしてみる。
The authors report a case of esophageal foreign body due to accidental swallowing of the medicinal package cover. A woman, aged 35, took her usual medicine following her evening meal. Soon afterwards she suddenly felt a severe sore throat with difficulty of swallowing.
Ordinary x-ray examination was negative. Fluoroscopic examination showed a faint shaddow of a square ob ject with a round hole in its center obstructing the first constriction of the esophagus.
This object was removed by means of esophaguscopy.
The object was most likely swallowed by the patient absentmindedly after swallowing her midicine.
