　Ⅰ．緒言

　結核性疾患は健康管理の確立，一連の抗結核剤の出現，外科的治療の進歩などにより，その治療，予後は著しく改善され，またその発生頻度も減少の傾向にある。

　特に耳鼻科領域においては，最近，中耳結核は重症のものはもちろんのこと，軽症のものでも遭遇する機会はほとんど無いといつてよい程である。しかし，完全に中耳結核は消滅したわけではなく，時によると，これを念頭におかぬため，単なる慢性中耳炎として看過する危険もあると思われる。

　最近，われわれは数年にわたり慢性中耳炎として治療されていた典型的な中耳結核の1例を経験したので，ここに報告する。

　The authors report a case of typical bilateral tubercular otitis media who was treated elswhere as an ordinary case of chronic otitis media.

　The patient a man, aged 39, was found to be affected with a severe case of tuberculosis of the lungs and the ear infection with involvement of the middle and inner ear apparently had spread through the Eustachian tube.

　The patient was placed on general administration of streptomycin, PAS and INAH with topical administration of the similar drugs in the ear. After 18 months of treatment the ear discharge is completely stopped although the lung treatment is still continued.
