 A case of Hunt's syndrome that showed an outbreake of herpetic lesion from the ear lobe evidently from the disturbances of the Ⅷ, Ⅸ, Ⅹ, and ⅩⅠth cranial nerves, is reported. A woman, aged 63, complained of pain and herpes of the ear lobe, dysphagia, dysphonia, impaired hearing, tinnitus and severe shoulder pain.

 The presence of herpetic lesions were especially noticeable along the supply area of the glossopharyngeal and vagus nerves.

 The seat of pathological lesions in the cranial nerves is discussed.
