好酸球肉芽腫は，骨，皮膚，消化器，皮下軟部組織などに発生するが，軟部好酸球肉芽腫（木村氏病）は耳下腺部腫脹を主訴として来院する症例が多い。耳鼻科日常診療において，その頻度は少ないが，最近組織学的に軟部好酸球肉芽腫（木村氏病）と診断された二症例を経験したので報告する。
Two cases of eosinophilic granuloma, Kimura's disease, involving the soft tissues of the face and neck are reported.
In the first case the patient complained of toothache prior to the appearance of the cheek swelling and the fact that dental treatment aggravated the swelling focal infection was considered as highly possible as a causative factor.
In the case Ⅱ many dental caries are found but their connection to the regional swellings was not established so vividly as the case Ⅰ.
The treatment in case Ⅰ consisted of administration of antibiotics in combination of steroid therapy. The swelling receded considerably under such therapy but soon recurred again. Such a process is continually repeated. In case Ⅱ the swellings were removed by means of surgical procedure and the patient was treated by a combined antibiotic and steroid therapy. There is no recurrence seen after 6 months of the surgery.
