　Ⅰ．緒言

　多発性硬化症に関する研究ならびにその症例は19世紀後半より，欧米では枚挙にいとまのないほど数多く報告されているが，本邦ではきわめて稀な疾患であると考えられている。

　また，本疾患の示す症状は非常に多種多様であり診断学的に興味があるが，その病因は未だ明確にされていない。

　Features of loss of hearing in 2 cases of multiple sclerosis a 53-year-old woman, and a 43-year-old man are studied.

　The first case showed a bilateral nerve deafness with audiograms similar to at both ears. There was no change in hearing loss within the five-year period of observation.

　The second case also showed a bilateral nerve deafness but with a dissimilar audiograms in the two ears and a progressive loss of hearing in both ears.

　Roth cases agreed in showing a temporary threshold drift (TTD) phenomenon.
