Ⅰ．緒言

　横紋筋肉腫は，比較的まれな腫瘍とみられ，またその特徴的な組織像から異論は多いが，最近しばしば，その報告例にも接するようになつてきた。これは，特にその横紋筋肉腫の発生が，多くなつたというよりも，むしろ検査法の進歩と，それによる詳細な組織学的解析によるところが大きいと思われる。今回われわれは，下咽頭より発生したきわめてまれな横紋筋肉腫と考えられた症例を経験したので，生検時所見と剖検所見とをあわせ考察を加え報告する。

　A case of rhabdomyosarcoma of the hypopharynx, which is rather rare in occurence, is reported. A boy, aged 14, complained of dysphagia and difficult breathing. Tracheotomy was performed and the growth was removed from the hypopharynx. The patient was then treated with Co⁶⁰ irradiation which brough improvement so that he was soon discharged. But soon after this discharge the patient's condition worsened with numerous metastatic growths, The blood examination showed a marked enemia and decrease of platelet cells. The patient died. Post mortem examination showed metastasis of the growth in the skin, lymphatic glands, heart, kidneys, suprarenal glands and testis. An evidence of hemorrhage was found in the skull, peritoneum and the subcutaneous tissues.
