Ⅰ．緒言

　気管・気管支の良性腫瘍はまれであるが，そのうち気管支の腺腫は比較的多く^6），Müller^12）が1882年剖検により最初に発見し，次いでJackson^11）（1920年）はEndotheliomの名称で気管支の腺腫を報告している。さらに1930年頃より内視鏡の発達，レ線診断により欧米では数百例以上の報告がみられている。

　一方，気管の腺腫は少なく，外国では1959年までに76例^2），本邦でも立木^23）が最初に報告してから1964年までに17例を認め^{16）18）19）20）}，その後数例の気管腺腫（円柱腫）が発表されている^15）。

　A case of tracheal adenoma, a growth rather rare in occurrence, is reported. The tumor, later confirmed as cylindroma, was found situated on the left side of tracheal wall 22cm below the edge of upper incisor. The growth was removed through the bronchoscope after administration of preoperative irradiation of 1,500r of ⁶⁰Co. Eight months later the tumor recurrcd without manifestation of any clinical symptoms. The tumor was again removed surgically and it was followed by irradiation treatment of 4,000r of ⁶⁰Co. The case is presently still under observation but, the authors state that, so far there seem to be no sign of reccurrence.
