　Ⅰ．緒言

　痙性斜頸とは，頸部諸筋の異常なる筋機能亢進によつて惹起される痙直性又は間代性の頭部傾斜，あるいは頸捻転を特徴とする比較的稀な，かつ治療の困難な疾患である。

　余等は，最近本症の1例を経験し，その筋電図学的考察を行うとともに，精神神経平衡剤Balanceを投与し卓効を得たので，ここにその大略を報告し，諸賢の御批判を仰ぐしだいである。

A boy, aged 17, complained of clonic move-ment of the head and right sided torticollis for the period of 3 years. Electromyograms were taken from both sternocleidomastoid muscles. The diagnosis of torticollis was confirmed. The patient was treated by administration of 30 mg of Balance per day. Favorable effects of this agent was shown in 1 week of its administration. At the end of 1 month the patient was completely cured.
