メマイ診断の実際—〔その1〕メマイ患者問診について

　I．はじめに

　ほとんどあらゆる臨床科目にわたつて，医師は，しばしば「メマイ」の訴えに遭遇する。しかしメマイは，頭痛や発熱などと同様，多くは対症療法で一時一時を過ごし，原因を探索し，メマイの発現機序にもとづいた適切な治療をおこなうにいたらないのが実際ではなかろうか。

　戦後は，広い意味のメニエール症候に含まれるメマイ症例が急激に増加してきた。適当な治療をおこなえば，ただちに軽快するはずのメマイも，不適当に治療されると，長年月にわたつて存続し，この不快な症状に長くなやまされることになる。あるときは，メマイが他の重大な疾患の初発症状であつたことが後になつて判明することもあり，本症の診断治療は決してなおざりにすることはできない。

For the diagnosis and treatment of vertigo obtaining a proper anamnesis is the most im-portant step in the procedure. The authors present the essential points that should be considered in questioning the patients regard-ing the nature of their veritgo, the accompa-nying symptoms and the suspected causes that might precipitate the condition. A due interpretations are given to these points for practical point of view.
