I．緒言
副甲状腺腫特に舌根甲状腺腫は本邦でも既に32例の報告があり，左程珍しいものではない。しかし茲に報告する症例は，腫瘍上部に潴溜液を入れた嚢腫状隆起を認め，又甲状腺固有位置に甲状腺組織の存在しない事を，放射性沃度試験を実施して確認し得た点で興味がある。茲にその症例の要点を報告し文献的考察を行うと共に，放射性沃度試験に就て述べる。なお最近観察し得た1例をも，併せて報告する。
The first case:A woman aged 18 complained of dysphagia and dysphonia due to a growth the size of a small bird-egg beneath the cen-tral portion of the tongue.
The second case: A tumor the size of a thumb-head was found beneath the central portion of the tongue in a boy,aged 6,who had no symptomatic complaint but, during the course of general physical examination.
The nature of the tumor in both cases alike was a displaced thyroid gland.
By the use of I131it was found in both cases that the thyroid gland in the natral situation was inactivated.
