甲状腺片葉欠損を伴った舌根部甲状腺腫

Lingual Goiter Accompanied with Hemi-agenesis of the Thyroid Gland

I．はじめに

　異所性甲状腺腫は1869年Hickmanの報告以来，多くの症例が報告されている。これらの異所性甲状腺腫は舌根部に最も多く発生し，ついで胸腔内，咽頭，喉頭などにみられている。そのさい前頸部の正常位置には甲状腺組織が存在しないことがほとんどであるが，例外的に存在する場合にはその甲状腺は両葉を有している^1）。今回舌根部甲状腺腫の存在とともに，前頸部の正常甲状腺の位置に甲状腺左葉のみ（右葉欠損）を認めたきわめて稀な症例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A case of lingual goiter in a 27-year-old female, whose chief complaint was sensation of a foreign body in the pharyngolaryngeal region was reported.

　After the lingual goiter in the ectopic thyroid gland was surgically excised, the symptoms were disappeared.

　Pre- and post-operative thyroid function tests were within the normal range.

　Even after an extensive review of the literature, no case similar to the present case was found.
