　I．緒言

　我々の一人勝谷は先に鼓膜湯傷の2例を報告したが（耳鼻咽喉科31巻1号）最近再びその1例を経験したので報告すると共に，幸いにも鼓膜穿孔を閉鎖し得たので，乏しい1例の経験ではあるが，特にその治療について私見を述べ諸賢の御批判を仰ぎたいと思う。

A boy, aged 4 1/2, was accidently burned by spilling of hot water involving the right-side of the face, head and neck. Due to the same cause the right tympanum was perforated with an opening about one fourth the size of the tympanic membrane. The perforation in the tympanic membrane was completely healed by local treatment and in-travenous injections of cystine.
