　緒言

　鼓膜の損傷には直達性外傷，介達性外傷，諸種熱体による火傷，湯傷及び化学薬品による腐殖等がある。併し聴器の火傷，湯傷は耳翼を侵す場合が最も多く，鼓膜の火傷，湯傷は稀である。諸種熱体による鼓膜火傷，湯傷は他の部分症としてくるものと鼓膜単独に来るものとがあり，その何れも少いが，就中後者は稀であり本那に於ける報告も少い。余等は最近熱湯により鼓膜のみが単独に湯傷を起した1例に相遇したので先人諸賢の報告に追加報告する次第である。

Ichihara and Kamio reports a case of thermal burn of the tympanic membranethat caused an ensuing Perforation. The patient, a woman aged 35, mas accidently burned by splash of hot water involving her face and arm, and, the right tympanic membrane. The burns on the exposed area being that of first degree in intensity re-covered uneventfully ; the tympanic mem-brane required 1 month in healing by leaving behind a perforation. Other similar cases numbering 27 reported in the literature of this country are reviewed and discussed.
