緒言
嚥下障碍は私ども耳鼻咽喉科医としてはしばしば遭遇する愁訴であり，その原因は複雑多岐にわたり多くの報告がみられる。私は最近嚥下障碍を訴えてきた患者で，喉頭鏡検査では一見して下咽頭後壁の腫瘍と思われたが，精査の結果は意外にも頸椎の変形性脊椎症による異常骨隆起であることを知つた。興味ある症例と考えられたのでここに報告して大方諸賢の参考に資せんとするものである。
A farmer, aged 68, complained of dysphagia of 1 year standing. Indirect laryngoscopy proved negative. X-ray examination of the neck and head showed synarthosis between third and fourth cervical vertebra with mar-ked lipping on the ventral surface that tape-red gradually affecting the adjacent ones. Furoscopy with barium meal showed these lippings to be cause of the difficulty of swa-llowing.
