余の考案改良せる口蓋破裂手術器械に就て

　口蓋破裂手術の目的は破裂閉鎖は勿論，構音障碍を矯正して正常発音を可能ならしめるにあり，手術々式にもLangenbeck, Lane, Brophy氏法等が見られるが，術は切開を加え，剥離し，縫合するにある。

　随つて術を確実に行うには此の3者を順次容易に，迅速に行えば良い。

Ichihara states that in surgical treatment of cleft palate there are three steps that are highly essential for successful results name-ly, incision, dissection and the procedure of suturing. In order to carry out such steps to satisfaction appropriate instrument must be on hand. There is no question to the first step, incision, but, the instruments for the latter two are newly devised, a dull; in-strument for dissection inorder to avoid in-jury to the delicate layer of musculature and a holder that may be employed for the knife and the needle.
