我々は最近，興味ある耳下腺の慢性炎症の2例を経験したので茲に報告次第である。
Takeuchi and Haraguchi report 2 cases ofchronic parotitis.In the first case the cause of the trouble appeared to be a long standing imbedding of a piece of grain stalk.The patient recovered uneventfully after the removal of the foreign body followed by irrigation of the area with penicillin solution and with treatment by X-ray irradiation. The second case consisted of tumefaction of the parotid gland for a duration of 15 years which sudenly changed with rapid increase in the size of the tumor.The sublingual glands on the same side was found to be involved in the enlargement.The parotid gland thus involved was removed en toto; microscopic study of the removed specimen suggested Mikulicz's disease.
