耳鼻咽喉科領域に於る慢性化膿性疾患に対するトリプシリン療法

　Ⅰ．緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域の慢性化膿性疾患，特に慢性副鼻腔炎慢性中耳化膿症に対する非手術的療法は，近年ペニシリンを始めとする各種抗生物質の発見に依て漸次その治療成績は向上しつつある。而して此等の治療法は起炎菌に感受性の高い藥剤を使用し起炎菌を消滅せしめ以て炎症を消褪せしめんとするのである。然し慢性炎症は起炎菌と共に炎症の結果としての結合織増殖，粘液腺増殖，膿汁粘液の貯溜等がある。而して此等の存在は亦炎症を悪化せしめる原因となると考えられる。従つて此等を容易に消炎せしむれば慢性炎症の軽快する事が考えられる。ここに於て，私共は最近牛の膵臓から抽出せられた蛋白分解酵素であるトリプシリンを持田製藥より提供を受け，其の優秀な蛋白分解作用及び生活細胞に作用しない特性を利用して耳鼻咽喉科領域の慢性化膿性疾患，就中慢性中耳炎並に慢性副鼻腔炎の治療を試みると共に，その試験管内実験をも施行して認むべき効果を得たので，其の大要を報告する次第である。

Goto and associates study the effects of tryp-cillin on diseases of ear, nose and throat. By in-vitro tests the agent is found capable of pre-venting agglutinating action of blood as well as activation of fibrin and fibrinogen. A number of patients affected with chronic suppurative otitis media and chronic sinusitis is divided into two groups ; in one trypcillin alone is used while, the other is treated with a combination of tripcillin and penicillin. The authors state that the effectiveness of trypcillin as a thera-peutic recourse is well proven.
