舌．軟口蓋及び喉頭の半側を侵したるヂフテリー後麻痺に就いて

　ヂフテリー後麻痺は私達屡々經驗するものであるが殊に成人に於て麻痺を認める事は甚だ稀である。

　私は19歳の女子で惡性咽頭ヂフテリー經過後左半側に限られた喉頭軟口蓋及び舌の運動性混合麻痺を來したヂフテリー後麻痺に遭遇し，之にビタミンB₁，C及び葡萄糖の混合溶液の頸動脈注射療法を試み驚異的な成果を收めたので茲に報告する。

　YOSHIDA report a case of post-diphtheritic paralysis which manifested itself by unilateral muscular paralysis of the soft palate, tongue and larynx in a woman aged 19 who recovered from a severe attack of laryngeal diphtheria. A surprisingly good result is obatined in treatment of this condition by parenteral use of glucose solution admixed with vitamin Bi and C administered into the carotid artery. Under this therapy each area of paralysis soon recovered which started from the tongue and the larynx; the soft palate being the last to be improved with slight lagging in movement but enough to improve the nasal voice which was present in the beginning to a quality which is almost undiscernable.
