　I．はじめに

　舌根部に近い右側舌縁に潰瘍を形成したPlattenepithelkrebsに対して，頸部廓清を含む右舌半側切除をen blockに行なつたところ，患者は術後嚥下障害をきたした。舌根部のDefektがその原因と考えられたので，右の口蓋扁桃を右舌根部に移植し嚥下障害を治癒せしめた。

　An ulcerated epithelioma was found at the edge of the tongue close to the radix linguae. About one half of the involved side of the tongue was removed surgically supplemented by a radical cervical resection. The patient developed a difficult deglutition and later, an attack of pneumonia.

　The difficulty of swallowing was found to be the result of the defect at the tongue root. This defect was compensated by means of pedunculated flap of tissues transferred from the region of the palatine tonsil. The swallowing difficulty was overcome.
