術後髄膜炎例における髄液尿酸濃度の経時的測定の意義

Clinical Value of the Sequential Study of the Uric Acid Level in CSF in Patients with Postoperative Meningitis

I．はじめに

　脳内核酸代謝および神経障害の程度を知る目的で，各種脳疾患例において髄液中の尿酸を測定する試みがなされてきた^{2,3,10,13-16,18,19）}．しかしながら，その病態の推移に合わせ，経時的に測定した報告は少なく^4,7），その意義についてもいまだ明らかではない．そこで今回は，脳神経外科的手術後に生じた急性髄腔内感染症に対し，経時的に髄液を採取し，臨床症状，髄液細胞所見および髄液尿酸との関連について検討し，いくつかの知見を得たので報告する．

In this study we discuss the clinical value of the sequential measurement of the CSF uric acid and CSF cells in patients with postoperative acute meningitis. CSF was investigated for uric acid and cells in 10 cases with postoperative meningitis and 12 cases without it for the control group.

The results were as follows;

1. The CSF uric acid level was markedly increased in direct proportion to neutrophilia in the CSF in the acute stage of postoperative meningitis.

2. Some cases with postoperative meningitis had biphasic increasing pattern of the CSF uric acid level.
