I．はじめに

　Moyamoya病小児例では当初より過呼吸により著明な徐波が誘発されることが知られていた^18）．その後，青木・児玉・平賀ら^1,7,11）は，Moyamoya病小児例で過呼吸終了後に認められる徐波は，過呼吸中に認められるbuild upより，より低周波数かつ不規則であり，build　upとは明らかに異なるとし，しかもbuild upとこの徐波との間にはいったん徐波が減少ないし消失する時期があることから，この徐波をre-build upと命名した．著者らは，この二相性の変化はほとんどはMoyamoya病小児例に認められることから，本症患者の過呼吸前後におけるPaO₂およびPaCO₂の変化と脳波との関連を追求してみる必要があると考えた．しかし，脳波記録に必要な安静を保たせつつ，かつ経時的に動脈血中のガス分圧の測定を行うのは容易ではなく，かわりに動脈血中のガス分圧をよく反映するとされる経皮的酸素分圧（tcPO₂）および二酸化炭素分圧（tcPCO₂）^3,4,9）を測定することにより興味ある所見を得，さらに100％O₂，およびair base 8％CO₂　gas吸入下の過呼吸に伴う脳波変化についても検討したので報告する．

EEG findings in Moyamoya diseaes in children are characterized by build up during hyperventilation and re-build up after hyperventilation. We examined EEG, tcPO₂, tcPCO₂ and respiratory curves during and after hyperventilation in 10 cases of typical Moyamoya disease in children.

In all of the cases, tcPCO₂ decreased gradually by hyperventilation, and its level was about 50% of the pre-hyperventilation level at the end of hyperventilation.It took about five minutes for the tcPCO₂ level to return to the pre-hyperventilation level.
