I．はじめに

　頭蓋内くも膜のう腫は全頭蓋内占拠物中の約1％にみられるにすぎない．特にsuprasellar regionに発生するくも膜のう腫は非常に稀で，詳細な報告はわれわれの渉猟しえた範囲では本症例を含め27例である．

　最近のめざましいCT scanの普及にもかかわらず，suprasellar arachnoid cystのCT像の報告は，本症例を含めわずか7例のみである．

Suprasellar arachnoid cyst is very rare. We report acase of suprasellar arachnoid cyst and review 26 cases whichwere previously reported.

A 3-year-old female was admitted for evaluation of gaitdisturbance. Other neurological examinations werenegative. By a combination of pneumoencephalographyand CT scan, we made a diagnosis of suprasellar arachnoidcyst producing hydrocephalus. A craniotomy was perform-ed and the cyst exposed subfrontally. The cyst wall waspartially resected and the cyst was opened into the basalcistern.
